In October 1984, Neil Parker started Bug Busters-a full-service pest control company-out of the basement of his family home in Acworth, Georgia. In the beginning, Neil was a one-man-show; he was the Sales Representative and the Technician. And of course, when drumming up business, he started with who he knew. Some of Bug Busters' first customers were Neil's friends from church, some of whom are still customers to this day. Gradually, fueled by Neil's hard work and the support of his family, Bug Busters grew. Neil began hiring employees-one, two, three, four. It was then, with four employees and in its second year of operation, that Bug Busters graduated from the Parker family basement to its first physical location.
